March 2 (SeeNews) - Kosovo's government decided to scrap the night curfew and relax some of its other restrictions introduced to prevent the spread of Covid-19, the prime minister's office said.
The curfew lasting from midnight to 5am is no longer in force starting March 1, Kosovo's prime minister office said in a statement on Tuesday.
Furthermore, the government decided to lift the mandatory closing time imposed on bars and restaurants. So far, hospitality venues were required to close at 11 pm.
Nightclubs can also reopen starting March 7.
Kosovo registered 55 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, according to March 2 data by the World Health Organisation (WHO). Kosovo has confirmed a total of 226,205 Covid-19 cases, including 3,104 deaths from the disease by March 1.
