August 31 (SeeNews) - The net profit of Kosovo's banking sector increased to 83.1 million euro ($83.1 million) in the January-July period of 2022, from 66.3 million euro in the same period of last year, the country's central bank said on Wednesday.
The outstanding loan portfolio of Kosovo's banks expanded 18% year-on-year to 4.2 billion euro as at the end of July, the central bank said in a monthly report.
Deposits grew by 10.6% on the year, reaching 5 billion euro at the end of July.
The Kosovo banking system's total assets totalled 5.2 billion euro at the end of July, compared with 5.6 billion euro a year earlier.
Return on assets increased to 2.7% from 2.4% and return on equity rose to 23.3% from 20.4%.
The figures comprise the financial results of 11 banks. Raiffeisen Bank Kosovo and ProCredit Bank are the largest among them in terms of assets.
