August 30 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian unit of Danish bedding and furniture retailer JYSK said on Thursday that it has opened its third store in Plovdiv and 22nd in Bulgaria.
The company intends to open its first stores in three Bulgarian cities within the next four months, JYSK Bulgaria said in a statement.
Earlier this month, the company opened three new stores - one each in the cities of Sofia, Varna and Dobrich.
At the time, JYSK Bulgaria said it intends to increase the number of its stores to 32 by the end of next year.
The company's strategy envisages having an average of 5 stores in the largest cities in Bulgaria.
JYSK entered the Bulgarian market in 2005 and currently operates 18 stores in 13 cities in the country, employing over 200 people.
JYSK Bulgaria ended its fiscal year 2016/2017 started on October 1 with a pre-tax profit of 1.27 million levs ($752,600/649,300 euro).
