February 6 (SeeNews) - The governments of Italy and Albania have signed an agreement on the mutual recognition of social insurance contributions, Albanian prime minister Edi Rama said on Tuesday.
As many as 500,000 Albanians living in Italy and thousands of Italians living in Albania will be positively affected by the agreement, Rama said in a social media post.
After the collapse of the communist regime in 1990, Italy became a primary destination for Albanian emigrants.
