April 19 (SeeNews) - French-owned IT service company Inetum expects its Romanian branch to book 28 million euro ($30.25 million) in revenue in 2022 as it looks to expand its staff in the country, the company told SeeNews.
At present, Inetum employs 500 people across its offices in Romania, the company said in an email on Monday. Its Romanian headquarters are in Bucharest, but it also operates a network of centres in big cities.
Last week, Inetum said it was planning to hire 300 employees across Romania, offering remote or hybrid work options.
Inetum’s announcement comes as part of a drive to hire 7,000 employees across many of its international offices.
US investment giant Bain Capital recently filed for approval in the EU its agreement to purchase Inetum from Qatar’s Mannai Corporation, an institution which currently holds a 99% stake in Inetum. The transaction is valued at $2.27 billion. Mannai purchased a majority stake in Inetum in 2016, after which it bought out minority investors and eventually delisted the company from the Paris bourse.
Inetum is a France headquartered international IT company, with over 27,000 employees.
According to finance ministry data, its Romanian branch recorded a profit of 10.8 million lei ($2.36 million, 2.186 million euro) and a turnover of 99 million lei in 2020.
