June 18 (SeeNews) - An International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission started a two-week visit to Montenegro to evaluate the current state of the country's economy, the Montenegrin finance ministry said.
The IMF mission led by Srikant Seshadri started its Article IV Consultation visit to Podgorica on Monday, the ministry said in a statement.
The mission will meet with representatives of the finance ministry, the central bank and other government agencies to discuss the current fiscal, monetary and overall macroeconomic developments in the country.
IMF held the last Article IV consultations with Montenegro in May 2018.
In April, the IMF lifted its forecast for Montenegro's 2019 economic growth to 2.8% from 2.5% predicted in October last year.
