December 13 (SeeNews) - Germany-based premium and luxury fashion group Hugo Boss has opened a new store in Romania in a mixed-use complex owned by local real estate developer Iulius in the northeastern city of Iasi, Iulius said.
The store is a Boss store, one of the German company's two premium brands and the first Hugo Boss outlet in Romania to operate outside of capital Bucharest, Iulius said in a press release on Tuesday.
The store that opened on December 9 spans more than 200 sq m within the Palas Iasi complex and caters to a male customer base. Besides the newly opened store in Iasi, Hugo Boss also owns a Boss store in the western city of Timisoara and an outlet and Boss store in Bucharest.
Iulius has thus far invested more than 320 million euro ($345.2 million) in Palas Iasi and more than 500 million euro in real estate projects in the city altogether.
The real estate developer's portfolio includes more than 310,000 sq m of retail premises in two mixed-use projects in Iasi and Timisoara and some 242,000 sq m of office spaces spread across 15 buildings.
