April 24 (SeeNews) - Dutch brewer Heineken said on Thursday its first-quarter sales volume in Romania declined on the year.
The company provided no further details about its Romanian operations in a quarterly report posted on its website.
In Central and Eastern Europe, the group's beer volume sales declined by 5.1% organically "as lower volume in Russia, Poland, Romania and the Czech Republic was only partly offset by higher volume in Greece, Slovakia, Croatia, Germany and Serbia," the company said.
Consolidated revenue declined by 2.4% organically in the region, Heineken added.
The company's brand portfolio in Romania includes the Heineken, Ciuc, Silva, GoldenBrau, Neumarkt and Bucegi beers, among others.
