March 23 (SeeNews) - Greece posted an annual deflation of 1.9% in February - the steepest annual decline in consumer prices among EU member states in the respective month, the EU's statistical office said.
Slovenia followed with a decrease in consumer prices of 1.1% in February, marking the second-steepest drop on an annual comparison basis among the bloc's member states, Eurostat said in a statement last week.
In January, Greece and Slovenia showed the strongest annual deflation among EU-27 - of 2.4% and 0.9%, respectively.
Elsewhere in Southeast Europe (SEE), Romania reported the third-highest inflation rate among EU-27, after Hungary and Poland - of 2.5%.
