February 6 (SeeNews) - German car parts manufacturer Vorwerk Autotec plans to open its factory in Preljina, in central Serbia, on March 25, Serbian media reported.
Vorwerk will hire about 1,000 employees at the production plant which will be located at the industrial zone of Preljina, near the city of Cacak, news agency RINA reported on Wednesday.

The German company broke ground for the new manufacturing facility in July 2018.
Back then, Vorwerk said it plans to invest 43 million euro ($47 million) in the construction of the factory, which will produce bushings and sealings for cars of the Audi, BMW, Mini, Volkswagen and Porsche makes.
