August 9 (SeeNews) - Agricultural chemicals maker Galenika Fitofarmacija [BEL:FITO] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange and led the blue-chip gainers' list on Friday, as stock indices ended up, bourse data showed.
A total of 1,295 Galenika Fitofarmacija shares changed hands in a turnover of 3.8 million dinars. Galenika Fitofarmacija closed up 3.54% at 2,899 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session 0.55% higher at 746.16 points.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, grew 0.13% to 1,570.40.
The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 13.3 million dinars ($126,700/113,100 euro) on Friday, down from Thursday's 765 million dinars, as 80 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the exchange generated a turnover of 3.6 million dinars.
No Treasury bonds changed hands on the Belgrade Stock Exchange today.
In the period between August 5 and 9, BELEX15 rose by 1.06% and BELEXline grew by 1.39%.
The total value of trading on the Belgrade stock market in the period between August 5 and 9 was 1.376 billion dinars, versus 1.564 billion dinars in the previous week.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 1.223 billion dinars to the total turnover, versus 1.248 billion dinars last week.
