October 14 (SeeNews) - French technical consultancy, customer experience and business process outsourcing group Webhelp said on Monday it has acquired Romanian software solutions provider PitechPlus for an undisclosed sum.
This transaction will also increase expertise and growth drivers for both companies, Webhelp and PitechPlus said in a joint press release.

This acquisition reflects the Webhelp group's strategy to strengthen its technological services in order to support its clients in the implementation of their digital transformation by offering them tailor-made solutions combining customer relationship management, artificial intelligence and automation.
For Webhelp and its consulting subsidiary GoBeyond, PitechPlus increases its methodological know-how on application development and management as well as strengthening capability with 250 experts in software development and integration.
"The acquisition of PitechPlus will enable us to better meet the growing needs of our customers, by having a scaled innovative and competitive structure, expert in agile development methodologies," Webhelp Group CTO Yan Noblot said.
For PitechPlus, Webhelp provides strong commercial synergies, access to new markets and the opportunity to integrate artificial intelligence and machine learning features into its custom software solutions.

Webhelp posted a $1.4 billion (1.27 billion euro) revenue in 2018 and employs over 50,000 in 36 countries. Webhelp is owned by its management and KKR, a global investment firm. Currently, Webhelp in the final stages of a transaction with GBL as a new investment partner, stepping in for KKR, and expects to announce the closing of the deal before the end of the year, after obtaining the regulatory authorizations required.
Founded in 2006, PitechPlus offers integrated software solutions and digital transformation consulting for 36 customers across 8 countries. It employs over 270 people in its offices located in Cluj-Napoca and Targu Mures and has customers in France, Switzerland, Germany, UK, the US and Benelux.
PitechPlus is aiming to achieve a turnover of 11 million euro in 2019, up 20% year-on-year, keeping the same profitability as per 2018.
