April 15 (SeeNews) - France will support Albania’s environmental reform with a 120 million-euro ($127.6 million) loan, Albania’s economy minister Blendi Gonxhja said.
An agreement with French development agency AFD, signed on Friday during a visit of an Albanian delegation to Paris, has paved the way for the financing of a programme focused on green and sustainable development, Gonxha said in a social media post last week.
France and Albania also signed an agreement for future cooperation in projects in the fields of tourism, water management, environment and waste, innovation, digitalization, energy, infrastructure and transport, education, public administration, health and agriculture.
In October, Albania and France signed a memorandum of understanding envisaging French investment of 600 million euro until 2027 for projects aiming to boost the Southeast European country's economy, energy transition and green development.
