BELGRADE (Serbia), July 31 (SeeNews) – The number of foreign tourists who visited Serbia in June edged up 11.9% on the year to 184,145, statistical office data showed.
The number of overnights spent by foreign tourists in Serbia slightly increased by 12.1% year-on-year, to 382,239 in June, according to data posted on the website of Serbia's statistical office.
In the first half of 2019, the total number of foreign tourist arrivals rose 4.8% year-on-year to 754,833, while the total number of overnights spent by foreign tourists added 7.2% to 1,690,535.
China was Serbia's biggest feeder market in June, with 16,698 tourists, up 41.7% on the year. Bosnian citizens followed, up 7.5% to 14,042. Visitors from Turkey came third, up 62.3% to 13,561.
The number of domestic tourists increased by 4% on the year to 606,375 in June, taking the total number of tourists to 988,614, up 7.0%.
