June 13 (SeeNews) - Foreign tourist arrivals to North Macedonia totalled 31,027 in April, significantly higher compared with 9,103 in the same month a year earlier, the country's statistical office said on Monday.
The number of overnights spent by foreign tourists in North Macedonia rose to 62,520 in April 2022 from 20,268 in April 2021, Makstat said in a statement.
Out of the total number of foreign tourists who visited North Macedonia in April, 16.2% came from Serbia, 9.5% from Turkey and 7.9% from Bulgaria.
Domestic tourists numbered 16,590 in April, up from 9,961 in April 2021, as they spent 36,459 overnights, up from 21,849 a year earlier.
