August 12 (SeeNews) - Foreign tourist arrivals to North Macedonia totalled 56,540 in June, compared with 24,915 in the same month a year earlier, the country's statistical office said on Friday.
The number of overnights spent by foreign tourists in North Macedonia rose to 115,351 in the sixth month of the year from 55,778 in June 2021, Makstat said in a statement.
Out of the total number of foreign tourists who visited North Macedonia in June, 14.9% came from Serbia, 13.5% from Turkey and 6.1% from Germany.
Domestic tourists numbered 26,992 in June, up from 22,252 in June 2021, as they spent 73,760 overnights, up from 61,923 a year earlier.
