September 28 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourists who visited Montenegro in August rose 9.1% on the year to 181,584, the country's statistical said.
The total number of tourists who stayed in the country in August increased by an annual 9% to 194,968, data from the country's statistical office showed.
Tourist overnights in August totalled 969,182, up 4.5% year-on-year.
Visitors from Serbia accounted for 15.2% of all overnights in August, followed by tourists from Russia with a 10.6% share, France with 7.5%, Poland with 5.6%, the United Kingdom with 5.0%, and Bosnia and Herzegovina with 4.2%.
Seaside resorts accounted for 92.3% of all overnight stays, followed by the country's capital with 3.7%, mountain resorts with 2.2% and other tourist resorts with 1.8%.
