February 29 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourists who visited Bosnia's Federation in January totalled 37,866, down 0.9% compared with the same month a year earlier, according to figures released by the entity's statistical office on Thursday.
Foreign tourists spent 84,587 overnights in the Federation in January, an annual decline of 5.7%, the Federation's statistical office said in a monthly report.
The total number of tourists who visited the Federation in January was 63,265, up 2.1% on the year. Total tourist overnights fell 2.4% on the year to 135,097 last month.
In January the most foreign visitors to the Federation came from Croatia (13,374), followed by tourists from Serbia (4,830) and Turkey (3,650).
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities that make up Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
