March 6 (SeeNews) - A total of 53,479 foreign tourists visited Bosnia and Herzegovina in January, compared with 52,832 in the same month of 2023, official figures showed on Wednesday.
Foreign tourists spent 135,460 overnights in Bosnia in January, up 0.8% on the year, Bosnia's Agency for Statistics said in a monthly report.
The total number of tourists who visited the country in January was 89,908, up 2.1% on the year. Total tourist overnights increased 1.4% to 211,281.
In January most foreign visitors to Bosnia and Herzegovina came from Croatia (17,694), Serbia (10,305) and Turkey (4,318).
Last year, a total of 1.18 million foreign tourists visited Bosnia and Herzegovina, up 29% compared to 2022.
