November 16 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourists who visited Bosnia in the first nine months of 2018 grew 14% on the year, reaching 847,682, according to official data from the country's statistical office.
The total number of tourists staying in the country in the January-September period increased by 12.4% year-on-year to 1,153,704, data posted on the website of Bosnia's Agency for Statistics showed.
Total tourist overnights increased to 2,435,340 through September, up 14% year-on-year. Of them, foreign tourist overnights accounted for 72.2%, or 1,759,348 - up 13% on the year.
Visitors from Croatia accounted for 10.6% of all foreign tourist overnights in the first nine months, followed by visitors from Serbia with 7.9% and Turkey with 6.6%.
