July 25 (SeeNews) - Albania attracted 876,056 foreign tourists in June, compared with 604,381 in the same month last year, the country's statistical office said on Monday.
Foreign tourist arrivals reached 2.55 million in the first half of 2022, up 51.3% compared with the same period a year earlier, the statistical office said in a statement.
In June alone, the number of domestic tourists rose to 483,445 from 335,491 in June 2021. Overall, the total number of domestic and foreign tourists came in at 1.36 million in the month under review, compared with 939,872 in the same month in 2021.
In June, Albania attracted 394,327 visitors from Kosovo, 76,373 from North Macedonia and 43,275 from Italy.
In 2021, the total number of foreign nationals who visited Albania jumped 114% year-on-year, reaching 5.7 million.
