July 1 (SeeNews) - A total of 48 foreign cruise ships made 135 journeys to Croatian seaports in the first five months of this year, rebounding from the same period of last year when no cruises visited the Adriatic country due to COVID-19-related restrictions, the country's statistical office said on Friday.
There were 97,000 passengers on board the cruise ships that visited Croatia in January-May 2022, the statistical office said in a monthly report.
Compared to the same period of 2019, the number of journeys of foreign cruise vessels was lower by 21.1% in January-May 2022, and the number of passengers on board on those vessels was down 60.9%.
In the first five months of this year, foreign cruise ships on journeys to Croatia visited the port of Dubrovnik 90 times, Split followed with 68 visits, Zadar with 35 ones and Korcula with 17 visits.
