ISTANBUL (Turkey), January 13 (SeeNews) – Turkish motor vehicle maker Ford Otomotiv Sanayi [BIST:FROTO] said its new engineering base in Istanbul has been certified as a research and development (R&D) centre following approval from Turkey’s ministry of science, industry and technology.
The company has stopped its R&D activities at its branch in the province of Kocaeli and shifted them to the new R&D centre, it said in a bourse filing late on Monday.
The official closing process of Ford Otosan’s branch at the Marmara Research Centre (MAM), located in the Technology Free Zone of the city of Gebze in Kocaeli, is continuing, the company added. MAM is one of the R&D units of the Scientific Research Council of Turkey (Tubitak).
