November 8 (SeeNews) - FlyBosnia airline, established by Saudi Arabia-based Al Shiddi business group, has acquired an Airbus A319 aircraft from Bulgaria's Balkan Holidays Air (BH Air), Bosnian media reported.

FlyBosnia has named the aircraft after Bosnia's capital Sarajevo.
In April, FlyBosnia said it would launch a service from Sarajevo to Riyadh on June 10, 2018. However, the service has not started so far due to delays in the commercial flight licensing process.
FlyBosnia was registered in November 2017 and will be based at Sarajevo International Airport. The local representative of Al Shiddi, Nudzejma Skenderovic, and its director Sulaiman Abdullah Al Shiddi are listed as the founders of the airline.
The Al Shiddi Group is the largest Saudi investor in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It owns Sarajevo City Center, Hotel Bristol Sarajevo and luxury residential complex Poljine Hills.
