June 17 (SeeNews) - Finnish defence company Patria is interested in setting up a plant for maintenance, overhaul and repair of airplanes and helicopters at the Aeronautical Technical Centre (ZTC) in Velika Gorica, near Zagreb, Croatian media reported.
"Patria's representatives have visited ZTC to see the company's condition and determine options for future collaboration," Jutarnji List daily quoted Patria spokeswoman, Birgitte Salonen, as saying on Sunday.
Salonen added that Patria's representatives have also invited ZTC's technical staff to visit the Nordic countries in order to see what the capabilities of Patria for maintenance of military airplanes and helicopters are.
Patria would like to establish a long-term partnership with state-owned companies specialised in the maintenance of aircraft.
State-owned ZTC's core activities include the maintenance, overhaul and repair of aircraft.
