October 23 (SeeNews) - FCA Srbija, a joint venture of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) Group and the Serbian government, remained the largest exporter in Serbia in the first nine months of 2018, according to finance ministry data.
FCA Srbija's exports amounted to 599.6 million euro ($684.7 million) in the period under review and the company was closely followed by HBIS Group Serbia, the Serbian unit of Chinese steelmaker HBIS, which exported goods worth 581.4 million euro, figures show.

Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] was Serbia's third biggest exporter in the period under review, with sales abroad of 346.6 million euro.
The total exports of Serbia's 15 biggest exporters reached 3.3 billion euro in the first nine months of 2018.
Serbia's trade deficit rose 42% on the year to $4.103 billion in the first eight months of 2018, the country's statistical office said earlier. The country's exports rose 18% to $12.852 billion, while imports grew by 22.9% to $16.956 billion.
