October 1 (SeeNews) - Expat Bulgaria SOFIX UCITS ETF [BUL:BGX] started trading on the London Stock Exchange on Monday, its management company Expat Asset Management, said.
The exchange-traded fund's cross listing opens new opens new opportunities for the Bulgarian capital market as a whole, Nikola Yankov, chairman of Expat Asset Management's board of directors, said in a statement.
Expat Bulgaria SOFIX UCITS ETF is the first Bulgarian ETF. The fund started trading on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange in September 2016 and was subsequently listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in January 2018.
Expat Bulgaria SOFIX UCITS ETF has a net asset value of 28.2 million levs ($16.7 million/14.4 million euro).
Expat Asset Management, a unit of Sofia-based Expat Capital, operates 11 ETFs, each of which follows the blue-chip index of a stock exchange in one of the following countries: Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Slovakia.
