July 1 (SeeNews) - The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said it approved two loans worth a total of 4 million euro ($4.2 million) to microfinance institution Agency for Finance in Kosovo (AFK) in support of micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).
The EBRD approved a senior unsecured loan of up to 2 million euro under the Western Balkans Women in Business Programme Phase II for on-lending to eligible women-led MSMEs, it said in a project summary document on Thursday.
The lender will also provide a senior unsecured loan of up to 2 million euro for on-lending to MSMEs under the Financial Intermediaries Framework (FIF).
Each of the loans will be provided in two equal tranches.
