September 23 (SeeNews) - Croatian shipping company Tankerska Plovidba said on Friday it acquired shareholding interest of some 11% in its peer Tankerska Next Generation [ZSE:TPNG].
Tankerska Plovidba bought 962,377 ordinary shares of Tankerska Next Generation at a price of 75 kuna ($9.7/9.9 euro) apiece on the Zagreb bourse in three transactions on Wednesday, Tankerska Plovidba said in a statement forwarded to the bourse by Tankerska Next Generation.
It did not name the sellers but local fund manager Erste Plavi said a separate statement on Friday that eight pension funds under its management sold on Wednesday a total of 859,439 shares in Tankerska Next Generation representing 9.84% of the shipping company's equity capital.
According to data from Croatia's depository and clearing agency SKDD, Tankerska Plovidba owns 54.63% of Tankerska Next Generation as of September 23.
Tankerska Next Generation's capital totals 436.7 million kuna, distributed in 8,733,345 shares without a set par value. The company is a member of the main equity index of the bourse, the CROBEX.
Its shares traded at 73,80 kuna on Friday afternoon on the Zagreb bourse, up 0.82%.
It has been the most traded company on the bourse in the last three days.
