September 6 (SeeNews) - Croatian IT company Span [ZSE:SPAN] said it opened on Tuesday in cooperation with Israeli company Cybergym a cyber security centre, the first one in southeast Europe, to raise the competences of the business community in Croatia and the region.
“The Span Cyber Security Centre brings the most up-to-date world practices and experience to Croatia with the aim of communicating knowledge and empowering the business community to respond as efficiently as possible to the ever-present and increasingly sophisticated cyber threats that represent huge risks to businesses,” the company said in a filing to the Zagreb bourse. It did not elaborate the value of the investment.
The newly opened centre will offer education, training and consulting services intended for employees from the public and private sectors.
Span's shares traded at 257 kuna ($34/34 euro) on the Zagreb bourse intraday on Tuesday, up 1.58%.
