September 11 (SeeNews) - Croatian manufacturer of professional equipment for road maintenance Rasco has introduced its new street cleaning vehicle Lynx - the result of a 30 million kuna ($4.5 million/4.1 million euro) project, local media reported on Wednesday.
The company expects that the new product will contribute significantly to the increase of its sales in the future, private TV channel N1 reported.
The compact Lynx vehicle costs some 80,000 euro and can operate at a maximum speed of 50 km/h. Its primary role is maintenance of city streets, sidewalks and parking lots, as well as cleaning dead leaves, large pieces of waste, and dust.
Although the street cleaning machine is still in the testing phase and sales are planned to launch officially by the end of the year, the company has received orders for about 10 Lynx vehicles, with the first of them already sold in Norway.
Rasco exports its products to more than 40 counties around the world. Exports contribute 80% of the company's revenue.
In 2018, Rasco's total revenue amounted to some 20 million euro. The company employs some 400 workers, 340 in Croatia and around 60 in neighbouring Serbia.
