October 11 (SeeNews) - Croatian food, beverage and drug producer Podravka [ZSE:PODR] said it has reached an agreement with the trade unions to raise the salaries of its employees.
Podravka plans to increase the wages of the employees with the lowest income by some 1,000 kuna ($155.7/134.9 euro), while the fixed allowance will be increased to 470 kuna from 400 kuna, the company said in a filing with the Zagreb Stock Exchange on Wednesday.
The salaries of Podravka employees will be increased by 330 kuna on average, Ksenija Horvat, representative of the company's workforce in the negotiations, said.
Moreover, Podravka will pay a monthly transport cost compensation of 170 kuna and will increase the Easter supplement by 50% to 600 kuna, the company noted.
"We started negotiations with trade unions four months ago and came to solutions for 2019, in the desire to improve the material status of Podravka's employees," the company's president, Marin Pucar, said.
Podravka operates in three main business segments - food, beverages and pharmaceuticals. Its markets include Central Europe, Eastern Europe, Western Europe, Adria region, and Overseas Markets.
