September 16 (SeeNews) - New passenger car registrations in Croatia fell by 9.3% on the year in the first eight months of 2022, to 31,197, the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) said on Friday, quoting provisional figures.
In August alone, new passenger car registrations in Croatia rose by 13.7% on the year, to 3,200, ACEA said in a statement.
New passenger car registrations in the EU, excluding Malta, declined 11.9% year-on-year to 5.997 million in the January-August period of 2022, ACEA said in a statement.
In EU12, which encompasses member states that have joined the EU since 2004, registrations were 8.5% lower on the year at 758,215 in the first eight months of 2022.
New passenger car registrations in Croatia increased by 25% to 44,915 in 2021, following a 43% drop in 2020.
