August 27 (SeeNews) - Shares in Croatia's diversified holding Djuro Djakovic [ZSE:DDJH] fell sharply for a second straight day on the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) on Tuesday, whereas Optima Telekom [ZSE:OPTE] extended gains, bourse data showed.
ZSE's share indices dropped further on Tuesday, following their decline on Monday.
Djuro Djakovic led the blue-chip losers on the ZSE, as its shares closed 2.87% lower at 8.12 kuna. On Monday, Djuro Djakovic lost 4.78%.
Optima Telekom [ZSE:OPTE] led the blue-chip gainers, as its share price rose 7.96% to 6.10 kuna. On Monday, Optima Telekom's shares also posted the biggest gains among the blue-chip companies, adding 5.61%.
Optima also generated the highest trading turnover among the blue-chip companies on Tuesday, of 3.8 million kuna.
ZSE's total trading turnover rose to 14.3 million kuna ($2.1 million/1.9 million euro), from 6.8 million kuna on Monday. Tuesday's turnover was boosted by a block transaction in the shares of baking company Zagrebacke Pekarne Klara [ZSE:ZPKL], in the amount of 5 million kuna.
The 25-share benchmark index CROBEX fell by 0.05% to 1,872.87 on Tuesday after edging down 0.03% in the previous trading session.
The narrower of the ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, decreased by 0.15% to 1,089.43 after dropping 0.06% on Monday.
The fixed-income CROBIS index added 0.06% to 116.4988.
