March 13 (SeeNews) - The number of building permits issued in Croatia rose by 6.4% year-on-year to 719 in January, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said in a monthly report on Wednesday.
Of the total number of permits issued in January, 592 covered buildings, up 6.1% on the year, and 127 were for civil engineering works, up 7.6%.
By type of works, 70.9% of permits were issued for new construction and 29.1% for reconstruction.
Based on the number of permits, there were 1,097 dwellings planned, up 68.5% compared to January 2018.
