September 13 (SeeNews) - The number of construction permits issued in Croatia decreased by 7.5% year-on-year to 677 in July, after falling by 18.2% in the previous month, the national statistical office said on Thursday.
The number of permits issued for buildings fell 5.8% on the year in July to 574, while the number of permits issued for civil engineering works dropped 16.3% to 103, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said in a statement.
The planned value of works covered by the total number of construction permits issued in July reached 3.4 billion kuna ($531.6 million/457.8 million euro).
Out of the total number of permits issued in July, 464 covered new construction projects, while 213 were related to reconstruction works.
Based on the number of permits issued in July, 863 dwellings were planned, down 4.6% year-on-year.
