February 28 (SeeNews) - Croatian shipping company Atlantska Plovidba [ZSE:ATPL] said it will sign a contract for the construction of two bulk cargo ships with Chinese shipyard Jiangsu Hantong Ship Heavy Industry Co. for an estimated total price of $65 million (60 million euro) in order to modernise its fleet.
The ships are expected to be delivered in 2026, Atlantska Plovidba said in a filing to the Zagreb bourse on Tuesday.
The vessels will be Ultramax bulk carriers of 63,500 deadweight tonnes each.
Atlantska's shares closed 0.42% lower at 47 euro on Tuesday. They have not started trading by 0958 local time on Wednesday
