March 15 (SeeNews) - Croatia's consumer price inflation quickened to 0.5% year-on-year in February from 0.2% in the previous month, the country's statistical office said on Friday.
On a monthly comparison basis, Croatia's consumer price index (CPI) increased by 0.2% in February, after dropping by 0.9% in January, the Bureau of Statistics said in a monthly inflation report.
Prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages, which have the largest weight of 27.81% in the consumer basket, fell 0.8% year-on-year last month, after dropping at the same rate in January.
Prices of housing, water, electricity, gas, and other fuels, with a 16.44% weight, added 2.9% in February after rising 2.0% in January.
Prices of transport services, which have a 12.43% weight, dropped by 0.5% in February,following a decrease of 1.9% in the previous month.
Croatia's average annual inflation accelerated to 1.5% last year, from 1.1% in 2017.
