November 8 (SeeNews) - Croatia's trade gap widened to 51.3 billion kuna ($7.7 billion/6.9 billion euro) in the first nine months of 2018, from 46.8 billion kuna in the prior-year period, the country's statistical office said on Thursday, citing preliminary data.
Croatia’s exports increased 4% on the year, reaching 79 billion kuna, while imports rose 6.1% to 130.3 billion kuna in January-September, the statistical office said in a statement.
Exports to the EU increased to 54.2 billion kuna in the review period, from 49.2 billion kuna a year earlier.
Croatia's imports from the EU grew to 101.5 billion kuna, from 95.8 billion kuna.
