December 18 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange rose for a fifth consecutive session, thanks to gains in hotel owner and manager Valamar [ZSE:RIVP] and software developer Span [ZSE:SPAN], bourse data showed on Monday.
The 20-share benchmark CROBEX climbed 0.41% to close at 2.493,48 points.
The narrower equity index CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten issuers in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, went up 0.60% to reach its fresh all-time high, 1,526.36 points.
ICT solutions provider Ericsson Nikola Tesla [ZSE:ERNT] was the most traded company with a turnover of some 518,200 euro ($566,000), as its shares shed 1.0% to 198 euro.
Blue-chip shares of Valamar appreciated 0.67% to 4.53 euro in a turnover of 175,000 euro on the news that Croatia's state-owned fund for enterprise restructuring and privatisation, CERP, decided last week to sell 1.49% of the share capital of Valamar on the Zagreb Stock Exchange.
Shares of Span soared 3.93% to 50.20 euro in a turnover of 172,000 euro.
Luxury clothing producer Varteks [ZSE:VART] jumped 7.14% to close at 0.30 euro as 4,186 of its shares changed hands, on the news that the company’s shareholders on Friday rejected a proposal to delist its equity from the Zagreb bourse.
The total regular turnover dropped to 1.3 million euro from 2.8 million euro on Friday.
