September 7 (SeeNews) - Croatian sports nutrition and fitness equipment trader Polleo Adria took over for an undisclosed sum local peer Proteini, local media reported.
Thanks to this acquisition, as of the beginning of September Polleo has expanded its retail network by five new locations in Croatia, bringing the overall number of its outlets to more than 30, daily Poslovni Denvnik reported on Monday.

Polleo did not respond to an email from SeeNews seeking comment about the deal by the time this article was published.
Proteini is a former distributor of Slovenian sports nutrition brand Proteini.si on the Croatian market, the daily added.
According to data from the country's court register of companies, the previous owner of Proteini was businessman Damir Pungartnik.
Polleo's brand Polleo Sport is a currently present on seven markets: Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and North Macedonia.
Polleo has a share capital of 7.17 million kuna ($944,000/954,000 euro), data from the court register showed.
