May 26 (SeeNews) - The overall consolidated profit of Croatian companies, excluding financial institutions, rose to 44.8 billion kuna ($6.3 billion/5.9 billion euro) last year, up from 21.4 billion kuna in 2020, state financial agency Fina said.
A total of 144,259 companies, which are due to pay profit tax, reported an overall revenue of 885.7 billion kuna for 2021, up 20.8% on the year, and total costs of 831.9 billion kuna, up 17.9%, Fina said in a press release on Wednesday.
A total of 65.4% of local companies made profit last year, while 34.6% were loss-making.
Among them, oil and gas company INA [ZSE:INA-R-A] reported the highest net profit (1.3 billion kuna) and revenue (22.3 billion kuna) for 2021.
