October 11 (SeeNews) - The free economic zones in Croatia increased their combined net profit by 35.7% to 150.5 million kuna ($22 million/20 million euro) last year, the country's government said.
The revenue of the free economic zones increased by 9.3% to 1.97 billion kuna, while their exports rose by 4.3% to more than 1.0 billion kuna, the government said in a statement on Thursday.
A total of 11 free economic zones were active in the Adriatic country last year, where an overall 89 companies operated, employing some 2,900 people, the government said.
