August 25 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) ended lower on Thursday as gains in Adris and Hrvatski Telekom failed to offset losses in the other blue chips, bourse data showed.
The 22-share blue-chip index, the CROBEX, fell 0.45% to end at 1,998.27 points. The narrower CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, lost 0.32% to finish at 1,197.48 points.
Preferred shares of diversified holding company Adris [ZSE:ADRS2] were the most liquid stock on Thursday, contributing 1.4 million kuna ($186,000/186,000 euro) to the total turnover. They added 0.24% to finish at 414 kuna.
The only other company with a turnover above the one millon kuna mark was shipping company Atlantska Plovidba [ZSE:ATPL]. Its shares shed 1.71% to end at 403 kuna in a turnover of 1.37 million kuna, extending their losses for a fifth session in a row.
The biggest daily gainer on Thursday was another shipping company, Tankerska Next Generation [ZSE:TPNG], whose shares appreciated 4.90% to end at 51.40 kuna in a turnover of 551,300 kuna.
In lower turnovers, shares of hotel operator Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP] fell 1.82%, shares of food and pharmaceuticals producer Podravka [ZSE:PODR] declined 0.34%, shares of ICT solutions provider Ericsson Nikola Tesla [ZSE:ERNT] went down 0.61% and shares of index heavyweight Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT] advanced 0.55%.
The bourse's total trading turnover reached 5.9 million kuna from 3.5 million kuna on Wednesday.
