August 24 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) gained ground on Wednesday erasing part of their losses from Tuesday, despite a decline in turnover, bourse data showed.
The bourse's total trading turnover fell to 3.5 million kuna ($464,000/466,000 euro) from 4.8 million kuna on Tuesday.
The 22-share blue-chip index, the CROBEX, rose 0.21% to end at 2,007.24 points. The narrower CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, added 0.19% to finish at 1,201.32 points.
Shares of shipping company Atlantska Plovidba [ZSE:ATPL] were the most traded stock on Wednesday with a turnover of 565,000 kuna. Their price dropped 2.38% to end at 410 kuna.
Shares of hotel operator Plava Laguna [ZSE:PLAG] rose 1.12% to end at 1,800 kuna in a turnover of 472,000 kuna.
In lower turnovers, preferred shares of diversified holding company Adris [ZSE:ADRS2] rose 0.98%, shares of consumer goods distributor Atlantic Grupa [ZSE:ATPL] went up 0.51% and shares of index heavyweight Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT] increased 0.28%.
