October 10 (SeeNews) - The Croatian central bank, HNB, said it is lifting its forecast for the country's average annual inflation this year to 0.9% from 0.7% predicted earlier.
Annual inflation is expected to hover around 1.0% in the coming months, HNB said in a statement on Wednesday.
Consumer price inflation slowed to 0.8% year-on-year in August from 1.1% in July, according to the most recent data published by Croatia's statistical office.
In July, the European Commission forecast inflation of 0.9% in 2019 and 1.0% in 2020 for Croatia.
