March 28 (SeeNews) - Croatia's ministry of regional development and EU funds said it has concluded 10 agreements worth a total of 335.5 million kuna ($55.9 million/45.1 million euro) towards the implementation of projects under the Swiss-Croatian cooperation programme.
The deals were signed with representatives of a number of institutions involved in the implementation of the programme, the ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.
The financing, of which 282.3 million kuna will be contributed by Switzerland, will be used towards the cost of a water supply project in Gorski Kotar, demining of Kotor forest, modernisation of vocational and higher education, and development of entrepreneurship.
In terms of offering a boost to Croatian entrepreneurs, the Swiss-Croatian cooperation programme will be used to finance projects for supporting small and medium-sized entrepreneurs focused on research and development.
Projects to be financed under the cooperation programme also include projects that will enable further progress in the areas of environmental protection and infrastructure, demining and socio-economic integration, education and research, and the activities of the non-governmental sector.
