April 6 (SeeNews) - The number of people who died from the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Slovenia rose to 30 by Monday morning, up from 28 a day earlier, while the number of confirmed cases of the infection increased by 24 to 1,021, the government in Ljubljana said.

A total of 30 people are under intensive care out of all 114 who have been hospitalised, the government said on a website it has created to monitor the coronavirus spread in the country.

The latest count is based on the test results of 28,253 people.

The first confirmed coronavirus case in Slovenia was reported on March 4.
