April 6 (SeeNews) - Serbia has confirmed 20 more deaths from the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) since Friday, bringing the death toll to 51, while the total number of infected people rose to 1,908 as of April 5, the country's health ministry said.
The country reported 284 COVID-19 cases and seven deaths related to the virus on April 5, the health ministry said in a statement on Sunday.
Еight coronavirus-related deaths were reported on Friday and five more lethal cases were confirmed on Saturday, the health ministry said.
The number of COVID-19 cases confirmed on Friday stood at 305, while 148 more were reported on Saturday.
Health minister Zlatibor Loncar announced the first case of COVID-19 in the country on March 6.
