April 6 (SeeNews) - Moldova's health ministry said on Monday that coronavirus cases in the country rose to 864 from 752 a day earlier.
Some 36,917 people are in self-isolation at their homes, the ministry said in a press release.
So far, Moldova has registered 17 deaths from the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on its territory, while 37 people have recovered.
Since March 23, Moldova's emergency situations committee has banned people older than 63 years from leaving their home except to go to work, buy medicines or food or walking their pets.
On March 17, Moldova's parliament declared a state of emergency to enable authorities to tackle the coronavirus disease outbreak more efficiently. The country will be in a state of emergency for a period of 60 days, until May 16.
